Calculate the Value
Whether you’re just starting your search or you’ve found a used car in particular that you love, researching the current market is vital to securing a good deal on your purchase. The value, and therefore, the price, of used cars seems to fluctuate every month, so keep up to date on the latest numbers through third-party sources like Kelley Blue Book® or Edmunds. When you know the average price of the used car that you’re interested in, you’ll be in a better position to negotiate, plus, if you’re interested in trading in your current ride, you’ll know how much to ask for. Determine the Vehicle’s History
While every used model in our inventory is in excellent working condition, requesting the vehicle’s history is perfectly acceptable. Many use CARFAX®; D&D Motors uses an AutoCheck® Vehicle History Report, powered by Experian. Just click the icon under the used car listing to be taken to a full, comprehensive report on the vehicle. You’ll have access to the model’s number of previous owners/title changes, maintenance history, whether the model has any open recalls or discrepancies in the mileage.
Look Under the Hood
Our staff won’t mind at all if you request to take a closer look at the mechanical, exterior and interior conditions of any used vehicle. We already ran accident and damage checks through AutoCheck®, and our certified technicians have given every used model a thorough inspection before it’s approved to sit in our lot. We can even ask one of our technicians to walk you through our inspection process if you’d like. Generally, they check for symptoms such as abnormal noises or vibrations, pungent smells (burning, fermenting) and undesirable sights (leaky batteries, oil dripping).
