2020 Ford Escape vs. 2020 Jeep Cherokee | Greer SC
2020 Ford Escape
vs 2020 Jeep Cherokee
Completely redesigned, the 2020 Ford Escape received a facelift this year, but its roots remain the same. Grounded in style, comfort and — of course — entertainment, the Escape is for the go-getter, the daily commuter and those with a taste for adventure. Fit more fun with 60/40 split-fold-down second-row sliding seats and see the sky with the available panoramic Vista Roof®, a luxurious feature that spans the first and second row for an open, airy cabin. You’ll never want to leave, especially knowing that Ford Co-Pilot360™ technology is working in the background on your behalf as a second pair of eyes (hands and even feet).
But when two American-made classics face off, it’s bound to get dirty. Watch for trash talk and off-roading puns: the 2020 Ford Escape and the 2020 Jeep Cherokee are going head-to-head:
2020 Ford Escape | 2020 Jeep Cherokee | |

Available Engine | Hybrid 2.5-liter iVCT | 3.2-liter V6 VVT w/ESS |
Available Drivetrain | AWD Disconnect | 4x4 |

Well, we can’t say we didn’t see it coming. The Ford Escape has a few more features that place this modern take on adventure on the top. Both SUVs provide the option to add all-wheel drive, but only the Escape has AWD Disconnect. It’s a system that disconnects the rear driveline when AWD isn’t needed, giving you an efficient FWD on city streets, for example, and AWD on the rugged trail. The Escape gives the option, too, to have a hybrid engine instead of the much larger V6 that’s available with the Cherokee. An available LED reflector with LED Signature Lighting is another plus for the Escape, along with more speakers, available ambient lighting and access to SYNC® 3, a smart and simple entertainment system.
