Zero Emissions

All-electric vehicles don’t need gasoline to run, so they don’t produce any emissions. This is great news if you’re concerned about your carbon footprint — and it’s great news for your wallet, too, since you’ll no longer need to worry about fluctuating fuel prices. As a Ford EV owner, charging your vehicle will be easy since you’ll have access to the BlueOval™ Charge Network — the largest public charging network in North America. 1

Tax Incentives

Federal and state tax incentives, like those from the U.S. Department of Energy , are available for many EV drivers, so you may save at tax time by owning an all-electric vehicle! Incentives vary by location, model, MSRP and other factors, so visit the Alternative Fuels Data Center to find out what savings you’re eligible for.

Long-Term Savings

By switching to a Ford EV, you’ll save money by eliminating your need for gas, but that’s not all: You’ll also save by not having to schedule certain maintenance tasks. Since your vehicle will use electric motors instead of a gasoline engine, you can skip oil changes, engine belt and air filter replacements and transmission flushes. This will allow you to spend more time driving and less time at service appointments.

Ford All-Electric Vehicles FAQs

Are vehicles with electrified powertrains more expensive than those with regular gasoline engines?

It depends on the model you choose. In many cases, gas-powered vehicles are only slightly less expensive than their all-electric counterparts. Plus, you’ll save money in the long run by owning an EV since you’ll have lower operating costs and no need to buy fuel. According to GreenCars, maintenance costs for an EV are about one-third of what you’d spend to maintain a gas-powered car.

Are electric vehicles less powerful than gas-powered vehicles?

Don’t underestimate the power of an electric Ford — these models work just as hard as their gas-powered rivals. For example, the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning is capable of up to 580 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque.2 It can tow up to 7,700 pounds with its available smart towing ability. 3 And that’s not all: the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT can go from zero to 60 miles per hour in a blistering 3.8 seconds.4 It’s also capable of up to 480 horsepower and 634 pound-feet of torque.4 Not many gas-powered models can say the same!

How and where do I charge my Ford EV?

Charging your Ford EV is as easy as plugging in your cell phone! All Ford EV models come with a 30-amp Ford Mobile Power Cord, which can be plugged into either a standard 120V outlet or a more powerful 240V outlet. You can even have a wallbox charger installed in your garage by a qualified electrician. When you’re out and about, you can stop at one of the convenient public charging stations on the BlueOval™ Charge Network.

How long does it take to charge my car’s battery?

EV charging time depends on the equipment you use to charge your vehicle. Other factors that affect charging time include outdoor temperature, battery temperature, battery condition and car condition. For estimated charging times, check the technical specifications for an EV you’re considering on the Ford website.

Does my Ford EV come with a warranty?

Absolutely! Warranties differ from vehicle to vehicle, so contact us for more details about the warranty coverage for your EV of choice.
