Expand Your Definition of What a Truck Can Be
With the 2022 Lightning, you'll be prepared for whatever comes your way. Dual electric motors (one on each axle) work in tandem to give you maximum efficiency, with an instant torque to the wheels with a 775 pound-foot ratio plus a targeted 426 horsepower. To enhance your performance even further, you can supercharge it to 563 with an extended-range lithium-ion battery. For maximum versatility, you can switch between selectable drive modes like Normal, Sport, Tow-Haul and Off-Road.2 And for those tough jobs, you can enjoy 10,000 pounds of available towing capacity 3 and a max available payload of 2,000 pounds. 4
For the new 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning, efficiency doesn't mean compromising on utility. The Mega Power Frunk, a 400-liter capacity front trunk that can hold up to 400 pounds (around eight 50-lb. bags of ready-mix cement),5 can be opened remotely with your FordPass™ app. It's both washable and drainable, and contains four Pro Power Onboard 120-volt outlets, totaling 2.4kW of exportable power. Its "waterfall-style" design enables you to easily load and unload cargo, while the 5.5-foot cargo box offers extra capacity.
